William Hart(1747-1822), son of William and Mary, was christened in St Marys Church in Oakley, Bedfordshire, England. He embarked from the Port of London, England between 3/28 and 4/5/1774 for Maryland on the ship Diamond. He was listed as 27 years of age, a carpenter and joiner by trade and came as an indentured servant for a period of four to six years.
William married Mary Currier (2/4/1770 - 5/12/1849) and they settled in the Mine Run Hundred of Baltimore Co, MD. Mary was the daughter of William(1730-1794) and Martha Currier(Curryer) and had known siblings William, Martha, Elizabeth and Penelope. William Currier(Curryer) was born in London, England and was transported to Annapolis, MD on the ship Greyhound in 1753 as an indentured servant.
Several Baltimore Co land deeds are recorded in William Hart's name, the earliest being in 1785. William is listed in the 1790 MD census as the head of family with one male under 16 years of age and three females. William is probably buried in Baltimore Co, MD near their home in the former Mine Run Hundred. Mary is buried in Cherry Grove Cemetery, Wetzel Co, WV. William's will is dated 12/1822 and is recorded in the Baltimore Co, MD records.
