  • In the Name of God Amen. I WILLIAM PANNEL being very sick and in a languishing condition but in perfect Sence and memory .. And as for worldly pods that God has been pleased to bestow upon me I give in manner following Vizt.
  • Item I give unto my welbeloved Wife SARAH PANNILL one bay horse called Jacob.
  • Item my desire is that my youngest Son JOSEPH PANNEL when he arrives to the age of Twenty four years shell have eighty pound current money to be paid proportionately by his four elder Brothers Viz_ SAMUEL PANNIL, WILLIAM PANNIL, DAVID PANNIL and JOHN PANNILL.
  • Item I give to my Daughter FRANCES PANNILL Thirty pounds current money at day of Marriage or when she shall arrive to age of twenty years.
  • Item I give to my Sons Samuel Pannill & John Pannill all the lend that I bought of WILLIAM STROTHER to be equally divided between them both in Quantity and Quality ..
  • Item I give to my Sons William Pannill and David Pannill all the land that I bought of Major. FINLES lying in Orange County to be equally divided between them both in Quantity and Quality. Item my desire is that if any one of my sons that I have given my land to should die without heir lawfully begotten then his part of the land to fall to my youngest Son Joseph Pannill and not to have any part of the money before intended for him. Item my desire is that when my children shall come to the age of twenty one years they shall make choice of one man and then with the Exrs. of this Will they shall divide the Negroes and all my other moveable Estate into as many equal parts as I shall have children then alive and each child to have an equal part.   • ALLEN, JONAS (d.i., 29 November 1721). Jonas Allen was murdered at the house of Walter Anderson in Hanover Parish. This was a sex affair and the accused men, David Seale of King George County and Mason French of Westmoreland County, were reprimanded to stand trial at the General Court of Virginia in Williamsburg. Witnesses bonded to testify at the trial were William Pannell, William Row, Edmund Dunnahoe, Walter Anderson, Charles Seale, Joseph King and Archibald Douglas. There are numerous recordings in COB#l,p.70, 71, 79, 82, 83, 110 in regard to Jonas Allen and on 5 April 1723 Walter Anderson qualified as administrator of his estate. An inventory of his estate was ordered 7 December 1723 and same was recorded 8 February 1723/4 in I#1,p.34-35.
