William Willis, son of John Willis ( d. 1715) & an unknown wife, was born before 1674 in Hanover Parish, Richmond County, Virginia, and died before 5 December 1716 at St Mary's Parish, Richmond County, Virginia - admin

His child Mary born out of wedlock. Records Filed Richmond County Orders1702-1704 Page 84 Catherine Cullins, servant to Wm Willis as ordered to serve her master eight months past her stated indenture for having a child out of wedlock. (Mary Cullins). William appeared and confest judgment to the Church Wardens of St. Maryes Parish for the use of said parish five hundred pound of tobacco in caske, the same being the find of Catherine Cullins.

WILLIS, WILLIAM (d. i., 1716 in Richmond County). His widow, Sarah, m(2) Henry Wood (q.v.) and (3) Rush Hudson (q.v.), and at the motion of Saarah Hudson 6 July 1722 there are two recordings on 3 August 1722 in I#1, pages 15-16 in which she appears as administratrix of her first two husbands and proceeds to sign her name Sarah Willis, Sarah Wood and Sarah Hudson. The landed estate of This Willis family in Richmond County fell into Hanover Parish, King George County, upon its formation in 1721.
