About Yehudai 'Habibai' ben Natronai, Exilarch of Pumbeditha & Carcassonne
Yehudai left Pumbeditha during a contentious period and sought to enjoy his last days in the comforts of a burgeoning community in Southern France - Carcassonne.
Yehudai was elected leader of the Jews of Carcassone. When Nasrids attacked Carcassone, Yehudai was forced to seek the aid of Charles Martel and thus organized Jewish support for Charles Martel in preparation for the Battle of Tours in the Loire Valley of France.
