BEWARE: this is one case in which the "Smart" Matches are anything but!

Robert White of Messing's ancestry is completely unknown and undocumented. He was NOT related to the Somerset Whites, and probably not to any other prominent White family (most certainly not the Catholic Whites, good Protestant that he seems to have been!). He styled himself a "Yeoman", which meant he had his own land and a bit of money but no claim on any kind of exalted heritage.
