Robert Archibald Lynne born England about early 1880s immigrated to California USA he married an American Spanish Woman in California they had a son and named him Robert Archibald Lynne junior born 1868 Los Angeles Roberts parents owned an Orange Grove California Later years son Robert Archibald Lynne junior went to Cape Town South Africa he meet and married Mary Ann Rigby born 1870 Cape Town South Africa their first child born was Grace Frances Isabella Lynne born 1899 the beginning of the Bore War South Africa Husband Robert A Lynne entered the Bore War as a volunteer January 1901 my grandfather Robert A Lynne was only in the war for three months I don't know what he did but he won a Queen Victoria Medal No: 443 Western Provence Mounted Rifles Both Robert and Mary Ann had a son born 1901 South Africa who only lived three day's a daughter Margaret Then they immigrated to New Zealand 1904 on the S Ship Wakool as Mary Ann had been married before hand Robert A Lynne took the three Thomas children and named them Lynne they all ended up in NZ Robert and Mary Ann had another three children NZ my father Archibald Laurence Lynne born 1907 Thomas Henry Lynne and George Richard Lynne born 1912 NZ Grandfather Robert A Lynne became a merchant seaman in NZ and ended up in WW1 he died 1923 Auckland NZ wife Mary Ann died 19444 NZ both are buried in the Otahuhu Cemetery Auckland New Zealand
