About the Norcross surname

All Norcross(e)'s come from England. The family roots are in Ribchester, Lancashire, England and can be traced back to 1210 in the Lancashire Assizies as Northcroft (the folks who lived in the north farm, at that time a farm was called a croft). Now Ribchester lies some 10 miles due east of Preston and some 30 miles north of Manchester. Most historians who have studied this line will tell you we all come from Ribchester. Our most famous ancient ancestor is Henry Norcrosse, Viccar de Rybchester 1573 to 1616 who had a very Unitarian approach to life and living.
