About the Quine surname

The Quine's came to Cape Town from the Isle of Mann. They stayed in Loader Street and Jarvis street in the 1860"s. They where ship chandlers and hotel operators and owned motor launches. One brother Robert Jeremiah Thomas Quine owned a ship chandling company and was married to a woman from Australia, Ada, who he married in Perth
