Some Svoboda families mainly in and around Czechia may descend from Suevian king Maroboduus or from his paternal cognates ,and through them from Obodas king of Nabataia .
Mar-Obodu namely might have been a son or grandson of the latter ,who preceeded in his country Arethas Aineias ruling for 48 years between about 15 b.c and 34 . Obodas' descendants moving somewhen somehow to Suevia might have later adopted Svoboda surname dertived from Svea-Oboda .
Suevs or Svans could partly be related to Sveas of Sweden ,and could have been joined by the Arabian people of Arethas who after merging with Suevs might now be called Sorb , that is Swea-Arab ,preserving at the same time Svob name too derived from the version Suéb ( Suwayawab ) . The latter version may refer to Soyobo people of the Holy Land ,members of which might have been present in Nabataia ,given that its kings themselves were of origin from Hiersolyma descending from the first Arethas Hérotymos ,likely son of Hyrkanos Iohannés .
Hyrkanos' descendants Chard,Elbiaz and others are likley to have earlier had founded the Erzya empire of Kyev and a kingdom at river Elba too .
