About Amice de Clare, of Gloucester
Do not confuse with Amicia/Avice de CLERE, of Yorkshire, wife of Nigel de Plumpton.
First marriage was to Baldwin, 6th Earl of Devon (who died young). Robert de Guines obtained permission to marry her circa 1248 "if she consents", but it is not clear that she did - his wife of record in France was Maroitte, dame de Hames, and she survived him.
