About Beatrix de Montalt
concerns
Stirnet's "MZmisc07" page (link below) indicates that this Beatrix married William Malpas, but Stirnet's "Egerton01" page indicates that they were extramarital paramours. Further research is warranted.

notes
Beatrix, shown by Commoners as daughter of Ralph and sister of Robert, is identified by Visitation (Cheshire, 1580, Mallpas, Barons of Mallpas) as "fil. naturalis Rogeri Montealt" and by Visitation (Cheshire, 1580, Egerton of Egerton and of Olton) as "base sister to Sir Roger Monhalt".
Beatrix married William Malpas, son of David Malpas (Maude and Lyster, xvi.)
From http://cybergata.com/roots/2342.htm
She died after 1245. Another name for her was Beatrice de Monte Alto.
~George Ormerod's The History of County Palatine and City of Chester, Vol II, p. 598, Beatrix was the daughter of Robert de Montalt, Seneschal of the earl of Chester. She had a child with Sir William de Malpas, named Sir David de Malpas, and this David was considered, by Ormerod, to be an intruder into his father's moiety of Malpas.
From THE "MALPAS" FAMILY IN CHESHIRE By Darrell Wolcott
c. William ap David ap William ap David ap William II ap Sir William, born c. 1180, married Beatrix, daughter of Robert de Montalt, seneschal to the Earl of Chester. This Robert de Montalt was descended from the family of seneschals who served the Earls of Chester, being born c. 1160 and the son of the elder Robert de Montalt, the latter being a son of Ralph fitz Norman.
Their son David was neither Dan David "le Clerk" de Malpas, Justice of Chester nor "the Bastard", both of those being earlier men named David in the Malpas family. Since David ap William's daughter Beatrix is known to have inherited one-fourth of Malpas, we may safely assume her father was a legitimate heir of his father.
comments
Moved as daughter of Ralph de Monte Alto / FitzNorman, 4th Baron of Chester Dec 2015 to conform with Darrell Wolcott's article.
Beatrix is not a known daughter of Emma Delaval so presuming a mistress. See discussion http://www.geni.com/discussions/149243 for further on the MALPAS line.
