Jeremiah Adams was born on January 14, 1691 in the town of Medfield iin Massachusetts Colony to Henry Adams and Prudence (Frary) Adams [1]

On December 22, 1815, Jeremiah Adams married Rebecca (Wheelock) Fisher, the widow of John Fisher, in Medfield. [2][3] She was the daughter of Eleazer Wheelock and Mary Chenery.

[3] Rebecca Wheelock and Jeremiah Adams had two children born at Medway:

  1. Abigail Born 20 Jul 1717, married John Swift (Son of John Swift and Sarah Tileston)
  2. Elisha.[4] Born 19 Feb 1719, married Rachel Daniel (Daughter of Jeremiah Daniell and Hannah Partridge)

Jeremiah passed away on October 8, 1772, at 80 years of age, in Medway [4] and is buried in the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Millis, Massachusetts. [5]

Jeremiah appeared to have lived in the same area his entire life. The town of Medfield's boundaries originally extended into present-day Medway and Millis. In 1713 the town was divided, with the section west of the Charles River becoming the new town of Medway. In 1885 the eastern section of the town, known as East Medway, separated to form the town of Millis.
